#4 Low crime in Emory? Not actually true! We know of crimes reported that never show up on the Sheriffs list, maybe you have noticed that also. heres a story.

#5 Another problem we have here in Emory is the way our public officials are perceived. East Texas. Yes, little "o" Emory Tx and it's {used to be} quiet rural area's has to be the "Loudest Little Town in Texas" more here.

#7 Rains County deputy fired after drugs/teens in car after crash!
How can you have a deputy for 5 years and not see any of this coming? Stories here and here.

#8 Lynching in Emory Tx... man burned to death! This happened 10 years ago, but it's noteworthy. What puzzles us about this story is the fact the Sheriff didn't think it was a hate crime, just a drug deal gone bad. I'm sure your next question is...how many drug deals go bad around here that warrant burning people alive?
